About this work
Our specialty is Real People casting, done in-house, and in sports that means real athletes. For HOKA's Like a Pro, for DICK'S Sporting Goods, we cast two NCAA college athletes through the NIL process: not pulled from a marketplace by follower count, but matched to the brand and to the situation the spot needed, with the NIL agreement handled as part of casting. For DICK'S Join the Run '26 we cast through the local run clubs in San Diego and Austin, auditioning 500 performance athletes to find the runners who truly represented their cities, then shot both cities back to back with on-site color and footage uploaded from the field so the content was ready for air in weeks. For GameChanger, Sports Experience Advisors and DICK'S we produced Bat Lab: baseball at loanDepot Park with six simultaneous camera rigs and an FPV drone, live Trackman data and players mic'd up with no teleprompter and no talking points, and the first Bat Lab for softball at Devon Park in Oklahoma City, seven cameras over two days with high school, college and pro players, cut into nine episodes, two long-form pieces, a trailer and a teaser. We led production for The North Face and DICK'S in Kananaskis in November 2025, and we build kids campaigns for HOKA and ON around what kids actually do: first-day-of-school energy, jump ropes, a ball and a bat. Production, casting and post sit under one roof, so a multi-team campaign with several internal DICK'S clients still runs as one production.
Questions
- Can you cast real athletes, not actors?
- Yes, in-house. Join the Run '26 auditioned 500 performance athletes through run clubs; Bat Lab put high school, college and pro players on camera; the Bat Lab cast came from the players who already knew the product.
- Do you have experience with child athletes?
- Yes. HOKA Like a Pro, HOKA BTS and ON Back to School for DICK'S, and the high-school players on Bat Lab Softball, were all built around young athletes. We have experience with the unique challenges of casting and managing real people, including children and their families.
- Can you run a multi-camera shoot at a stadium or event?
- Yes. Bat Lab was six rigs plus a drone at loanDepot Park and seven cameras over two days at Devon Park, cut for YouTube, streaming, TikTok and Instagram.
- Do you work with in-house brand teams and their agencies?
- Yes. Our DICK'S work runs through Dick's Media and direct to the brand, and Join the Run spanned several internal DICK'S teams as one production.
- Where do you shoot?
- We shoot nationally from our home base in Columbus, Ohio. The featured work here was shot in Miami, Oklahoma City, San Diego and Austin, and in Canada, in Alberta for The North Face.
